The Piatti String Quartet were prize-winners at the Wigmore Hall string quartet competition in 2015 and have since gone on to a successful career of recording, broadcasting and performing around the world. They enjoy creating diverse programmes and they have commissioned a number of contemporary composers to write for them. They also research hitherto undiscovered and neglected quartet music and this led to their recent première recording of Irish composer Ina Boyle’s string quartet. They will include this lovely piece in their programme alongside a Mendelssohn quartet and Dvořák’s final quartet.
