Sacconi Quartet

The Sacconi String Quartet still consists of its four original members and is now celebrating a remarkable international career spanning 25 years. They have performed around the world,  and have featured in many radio broadcasts and made numerous highly-acclaimed recordings. They make a welcome return for a series of three concerts. Each concert will conclude with one of Beethoven’s late quartets, and this first concert features the remarkable seven-movement quartet in C sharp minor. Also on the programme are an early Haydn quartet and a quartet by the very talented Doreen Carwithen, a successful composer in her day whose music is now beginning to be heard again.
