The Kammerphilharmonie Europa (Chamber Philharmonic Europe) is an orchestra of talented young musicians from various European countries. It was founded in Cologne in 2006 and it has performed in many concerts and festivals across the continent. It has a wide repertoire ranging from baroque to modern and its aim is to encourage the younger generation of musicians by providing them with an opportunity for their further development.
Their programme includes a number of concert favourites, with Grieg’s Holberg Suite, Borodin’s lyrical Nocturne, and Hummel’s brilliant and virtuosic Trumpet Concerto, played by the Russian trumpeter Cyrill Gussaroff.
