The violinist Emily Sun comes from Australia, where she has won several prestigious violin competitions. In Britain she gained prizes at the Royal College of Music and was awarded the gold medal of the Royal Overseas League Music Competition in 2016. She has performed widely in Australia and also internationally, including in Moscow and London. Jennifer Hughes is an accompanist specialising in the repertoire for piano and strings. Among other prizes and awards, she received the accompanist’s prize from the Royal Overseas League, and she is currently a coach in the string department at the Royal College of Music. Emily and Jennifer’s programme includes sonatas by Beethoven, Poulenc and Richard Strauss, together with Saint-Saëns’ brilliant Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso.
