Since its formation in 2007 the Sitkovetsky Piano Trio has made a reputation as one of the foremost trios, performing widely around the world. They have appeared in many concert halls across Europe as well as in the USA, Australia and China. They are noted for their dynamic performances and their committed approach to music-making and they have several recordings to their credit.

Their programme will include Haydn’s Gypsy Rondo trio, with its ebullient finale, and Dvořák’s Dumky trio. This unusual work consists of six movements, each based on the dumka, a type of Slavonic folk music, and the result is one of Dvořák’s most characteristic and appealing works. Alexander Sitkovetsky and Wu Qian were students at the Yehudi Menuhin School and they are always delighted to play in The Menuhin Hall.

Tickets for this concert are also available from The Menuhin Hall Box Office on 08700 842020 (10.00am-3.00pm). The Menuhin Hall is at the Yehudi Menuhin School on Cobham Road, Stoke d’Abernon, Surrey KT11 3QQ
